Sam's Town is the second studio album by alt-rock band The Killers, released in October 2006. Frontman Brandon Flowers said he wanted to make a record that chronicled everything important that got him to where he was. The album takes its name from Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall in the band's hometown of Las Vegas, and draws on influences from U2, Bruce Springsteen and Tom Petty, among others. It has sold more than 4.5 million copies worldwide and features the singles "When You Were Young" and "Read My Mind."
