How I Got Over is The Roots' 2010 album, their first new release after becoming the house band on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Taking its title from Clara Ward's gospel classic, it searches for hope in a post-hope era with guests including John Legend, Joanna Newsom, Blu and Monsters of Folk. The lead single "Dear God 2.0" reimagines the Monsters of Folk song.
