Prehistoric Sounds is the third studio album by Australian punk pioneers The Saints, released in 1978. It was the final album to feature founding lead guitarist Ed Kuepper, who left the band shortly after its release. The record is celebrated for boldly expanding the punk template, weaving a full horn section through the band's driving rock and roll. In 2010 it was ranked among the 100 Best Australian Albums.
