The Specials are one of the defining bands of the late '70s/early '80s, alongside Jerry Dammers' iconic Two-Tone label. By the time they released their second album, More Specials, in October 1980, the band had already topped the UK charts with "Too Much Too Young" and finished sold-out tours across the UK, Europe, North America, Japan, and Australia. The album broadened their ska sound with lounge, muzak, and experimental flourishes.
