The Thorens TPN 124 is a linear external power supply designed to deliver exceptionally clean, stable power to Thorens direct-drive decks. By replacing the standard switching supply with true linear regulation in its own shielded chassis, it reduces electrical noise at the very foundation of the playback chain — and what disappears with that noise is grain; what emerges is more low-level detail, sharper focus, and greater dynamic ease.
It comes standard with the TD 124 DD Exclusive and is the factory-recommended upgrade for the TD 404 DD. If you own a TD 404 DD, this is the single simplest upgrade you can make to unlock the deck's full potential.
