Originally released in 1983, Wild Style is regarded as the first hip hop motion picture, featuring seminal figures of the era including Fab Five Freddy, the Rock Steady Crew, the Cold Crush Brothers, Grand Wizard Theodore, and Grandmaster Flash. Tracks from the film have since been sampled by artists from De La Soul and A Tribe Called Quest to the Beastie Boys, DJ Shadow, Nas, and Public Enemy.
