In April 2010, the Walker family of Como, Mississippi gathered at their parents' home to record their a cappella gospel tradition for Daptone Records. Captured live in their living room by Michael Reilly, these deeply stirring, unembellished performances carry the rich Hill Country gospel heritage of a family once courted by Fred McDowell and Sam Cooke. The result is a raw and soulful portrait of a singing tradition handed down through generations.
